Michigan Island Lighthouse Tour
Our Stockton Island Day Hiking shuttle brings enthusiasts to gorgeous routes and breathtaking views. Our Stockton Island and Oak Island overnight camping shuttles allow campers to spend amazing nights in nature. Rittenhouse Avenue and Front Street provide 2 hour parking only, most side streets in downtown Bayfield offer free, daily parking. After your arrival via our scenic boat ride to the island, you’ll be greeted by the National Park Service for a guided tour.

Cruise across Lake Superior to take guided tours of these iconic, historic monuments. We use power boats to sightsee the sea caves, light houses and more in the Apostle Island National Lakeshore. Kids 6 – 12 years old can view the magnificent islands for 40% less than adults!
All seating on all cruises is first-come, first-served. Although you can get off and visit historic buildings, the lighthouse tours don’t go near the truly iconic sights, such as the sea caves, multicolored cliffs, and arches. The route may vary due to weather conditions, so even if you’ve been on the tour before, you’re likely to be able to see something new! Typically we use our catamaran, Echo on full day trips. The shallow draft allows us to access secluded beaches and explore remote island coastlines. The spacious and protected cock pit area insures a dry and comfortable sail in all conditions.
Grand Tour
We traveled on the "Island Princess" which will carry up to 140 passengers, with a maximum of 50 on the upper deck. If we are not able to go out due to weather or if you do not think it would be a good experience (due to rain, cold, etc.) you have the option to either reschedule or have a full refund. Our mission is to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience of the natural beauty and rich history of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. All tours depart from the city dock right in downtown Bayfield! Parking is available on all streets, with most of them offering free, daily parking. However, Rittenhouse Avenue and Front Street provide 2-hour parking only. In accordance with the ADA, service animals are allowed, however this does not include emotional support animals or therapy animals.

Sleep aboard and explore the Apostle Islands with the newest boat to our fleet named Echo, a Gemini Legacy 35 catamaran. Trips depart from Schooner Bay Marina just north of Bayfield. This adventure offers a prolonged scenic experience in a comfortable and stable multi-day vessel.
This includes all the rooms in the lighthouse — featuring many original or antique furnishings. You may climb to the top of the tower for a fantastic view and photo opportunity. Apostle Islands tours and water taxi service (for island campers) are also operated out of Cornucopia, Wisconsin by Good Earth Outfitters (see our link on the Cornie page).
You have up to one hour prior to departure to either transfer your tickets to another cruise depending on availability or receive a full refund. If we cancel a cruise due to weather, you will have the same options. Since tickets sell out regularly, especially during the weekends, planning ahead is key. Be sure to check availability 2-3 weeks ahead of your trip and purchase tickets as soon as possible. Since seating aboard all cruises is first-come, first-served, if you have a preference of where you sit, arrive 45-minutes to an hour prior to departure time.
